MORE SCRIPS ON CSE'S INTERNET TRADING SERVICES (ITS)
Securities and Exchange Commission accorded its approval to a CSE's proposal of allowing scrips under A, B & G categories to trade in the CSE's Internet Trading Services (ITS) module. This decision has taken upon request the investors who intend to have a wider choice for investing/trading in listed securities through the ITS module.
For the sake of investors' interest, Securities and Exchange Commission approved the CSE's proposal as per the Chittagong Stock Exchange (Internet Based Trading Services) Regulations, 2002 subject to the condition that, incase of relegation of any security from A, B or G category to Z category, in that case, the concerned relegated security shall be permitted for trading through ITS for a maximum period of one year from the date of such relegation to "Z" category.
At the time of approval of SEC on 21 November, 2002, only 24 scrips were approve for trading under ITS which were in CSE-30 Index. After including all scrips under A, B & G categories in the ITS module from 26th June, 2004 total number of ITS eligible scrips will stand 150. Out of total 150 ITS eligible scrips, A category's scrips stands 113, B 36 & G 1.
